Our nation’s forestlands provide a wealth of public benefits, from clean air and water to plant and wildlife biodiversity, employment and recreational opportunities as well as a myriad of timber-based byproducts (to name a few!). Between increasing threats of wildfire and invasive species, State Foresters have their work cut out in protecting our nation’s forests and ensuring their sustainability for future generations.
