Conquer Cancer®, the ASCO Foundation, is seeking a dynamic, relationship focused, results- driven Corporate Relations Specialist, to play a crucial role in diversifying our donor base, growing corporate revenue, and forging strategic partnerships that support our vital mission to conquer cancer worldwide.

This position is hybrid, with a primary location in Alexandria, VA. We anticipate the hire to be onsite approximately 1 day a week for the first 30 days and then on a needed basis to include, staff meetings, events, quarterly staff meetings etc.
Responsibilities
Lead a personal portfolio of corporate (healthcare and non-healthcare companies), with a primary responsibility to identify new donors and secure revenue in support of Conquer Cancer’s strategic priorities
Identify potential prospects through research, events, and connections to healthcare companies and lead outreach
Develop and present compelling presentations and proposals for corporate donors and prospects
Lead donor touchpoints year-round including face to face and virtual meetings, representing Conquer Cancer’s strategic priorities, including senior leadership as appropriate
Participate in moves management process, and solicit corporate and grants/gifts including drafting stewardship and thank you communications
Assist in the development of grant/gift reporting and data integrity; track proposal opportunities and support pipeline accountability in the Conquer Cancer database
Stay current on corporate giving and industry trends and best practices to inform prospect and donor strategy
Support developing organization’s corporate relations strategy in alignment with the organization’s 5-year strategic plan
Maintains accurate donor and constituent records in StratusLive inclusive of tracking moves management with assigned portfolio and ensuring accuracy of opportunity records
Develop updates for leadership and board members in collaboration with senior leadership.
Assist in the implementation of fundraising best practices for deeper donor stewardship

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, philanthropic studies, communications, sociology, or related field or equivalent years of experience and/or training
5 years non-profit fundraising experience, preferably with corporate fundraising experience in a health care setting
Direct experience in working with and securing major gifts through a variety of corporate engagement tactics including cause marketing, grant making, employee engagement preferred
Direct experience in building long-term donor relationships and demonstrated success at prospecting and pipeline building
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
4+ years of progressively responsible experience with corporate relationship management
Competencies
