Talley is searching for an Account Executive to provide leadership counsel and direction to our client partners. This includes fostering positive relationships with client volunteer leadership, coordinating internal and external resources, managing client and team scope, ensuring fiscal responsibility, supervising day-to-day administrative functions, and providing mentorship to staff, while adhering to company policies and client processes. Experience leading organizations with an international footprint preferred.
Serve as an Account Executive for Talley client partners, maintaining positive relationships with client leadership, engaging volunteer leaders and constituents
Provide business counsel and drive innovation within client programs and initiatives
Coordinate and leverage subject matter expertise within Talley in furtherance of the strategic objectives of the client
Support other client-based work, as assigned, while maintaining the necessary scheduling, accessibility, and resource requirements to ensure the success of the primary client
Coordinate resources (both internal and external, including other vendors and contractors) required to meet the needs of each client
Manage clients and staff teams according to contracted scope of service and resource assignments, making appropriate resource and priority adjustments as necessary
Fiscal responsibility for client activities, budget preparation, explanation, and development
Partner with client volunteer leadership to facilitate board and committee business meetings in furtherance of association objectives
Oversee the corporate compliance requirements of the associations (taxes, annual reporting, bylaws-adherence, insurance, etc.)
Oversee financial activities, including payment of invoices, budget preparation, monthly financial records, annual audit, etc.
Manage and maximize profitability of client programs, including meetings, publications, and other products
Supervise and direct staff and the day-to-day administrative functions of clients
Provide mentorship and support professional development activities for staff
Ensure staff are adhering to company policy and client processes (e.g., timekeeping, expense reporting etc.).
Participate in internal Talley working groups and committees
Provide oversight of Talley staff as assigned
CLIENT-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
Build and maintain an institutional memory and provide context for decision-making
Represent the organization with a focus on building key industry stakeholder relationships in furtherance of the organization’s mission and financial goals
Manage certification program components and any third-party relationships contributing to these programs
Lead orientation and onboarding activities for volunteer leaders
Liaise with legal counsel, as necessary, on all legal matters affecting association operations (e.g., bylaws, affiliate relationships, conference contracts, member matters etc.)
Lead the association’s communication and content-delivery via website, webinars, social media, email, in-house and external publications, to optimize the engagement of key constituencies according to the management scope of service
Drive communications and marketing objectives and implement tactics to expand the organization’s reach
Facilitate the continued implementation of the association’s business plan including task assignment, metric and milestone building, progress reporting and analysis
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including international constituents
Effective written, verbal and electronic communication skills and the ability to communicate well with all levels both within and outside the organization
Ability to manage remote and/or hybrid located staff
Prior experience serving in an Executive or C-Level position within an Association
Comprehensive Microsoft Office Experience
Experience with Association Management Software
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet required deadlines
Well-developed interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate with a diverse set of stakeholders
Ability to make clear, concise, and effective presentations
Strong understanding of financial management and budget planning
