Job Overview:
The Credentialing Manager at IAAP plays a crucial role in overseeing, managing, and developing all certification programs offered by the organization. This position is responsible for maintaining the integrity and relevance of existing credentials while also conceptualizing and implementing new certification opportunities for administrative professionals. The Credentialing Manager will lead a team, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure that IAAP's credentialing programs meet industry standards and add value to members' careers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Credential Management and Development
• Oversee and manage all aspects of IAAP's existing certification programs, including the Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) credential. • Develop and implement new credentialing programs from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with IAAP's strategic goals and industry needs. • Ensure all credentialing programs meet relevant accreditation standards and related industry best practices.
2. Leadership and Team Management
• Lead and inspire a team of credentialing professionals, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and professional development. • Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of credentialing programs with other IAAP offerings.
3. Strategic Planning and Innovation
• Develop and implement a long-term strategy for IAAP's credentialing programs, aligned with the organization's overall mission and goals. • Stay up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in credentialing to continuously improve and innovate IAAP's offerings. • Identify opportunities for growth and expansion of credentialing programs to meet the profession’s evolving needs.
4. Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement
• Establish and maintain rigorous quality control processes for all aspects of credential development, delivery, and maintenance. • Oversee regular review and updates of exam content, study materials, and recertification requirements to ensure ongoing relevance and value. • Conduct periodic job task analyses and validation studies to maintain the integrity and relevance of credentials. • Collaborate with team members to seek feedback from candidates and designees through a variety of formats to consider in program improvements.
5. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
• Act as a key liaison between IAAP and external partners, subject matter experts, and industry leaders to enhance credentialing programs. • Collaborate with the marketing team to effectively promote credentialing programs and communicate their value to admin professionals and potential candidates. • Represent IAAP at industry events and conferences related to credentialing.
6. Financial Management and Reporting
• Develop and manage the credentialing department's budget, ensuring efficient use of resources. • Monitor and report on key performance indicators for credentialing programs, including participation rates, pass rates, and revenue generation. • Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership on the status and impact of credentialing programs.
Qualifications:
• 2-3 years of experience leading a successful team of professionals • 5-7 years of proven experience in design, development, project management, or credentialing management • Comfortability employing innovative and strategic thinking while balancing tactics and tasks • An understanding of psychometrics, test development, and credentialing best practices, including accreditation standards • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft programs, and credentialing software. • Ability for up to 10% domestic travel.

Language Skills:
• Requires strong written and verbal communication skills • Must present a professional approach in all communications • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from diverse groups of individuals (internal team members, external customers and vendors, board members, etc.) • Ensures understanding by asking clarifying questions and restates understanding for confirmation.
