The Professional Services Council (PSC) seeks an Associate for Events, who is responsible for the planning, logistics and implementation support/management of PSC member meetings, execution of sponsor benefits as well as other tasks as assigned. In addition, the incumbent supports relevant work of the PSC Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization affiliated with the association. The incumbent reports to the Director of Events.
Project Management:
- Serves as project manager and logistics lead for all member meetings to include in-person, virtual and hybrid
- Assist with execution of Board of Directors meetings and Service Contract Act Training.
- Provide support with virtual platforms for all PSC conferences
- Manage online event registration and serve as main point of contact for event inquires by members, sponsors and PSC staff
- Obtain a high functioning knowledge of iMIS database in order to properly manage and maintain records, pull reports and track a variety of data points
- Obtain a high functioning knowledge of Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other virtual platforms
- Update and send weekly registration report which tracks event metrics including registration totals, registration dollars, sponsorship dollars and more
- Manage event social media and create digital content for LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and conference microsites
- Assist in developing public facing material such as marketing campaigns/emails, on-site and virtual event collateral to include presentations, event microsites, promotional videos and more
Event Sponsorships:
- Responsible for tracking sponsorship sales
- Process sponsorship payments received by mail/phone
- Manage execution of sponsorship benefits
Assist with Department Operations:
- Provide staff support at PSC events
- Recommend and implement new department efficiencies
- Perform research on new programs and products
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years relevant work experience in event planning and execution
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and professionally in a creative, fast-paced, intellectual team environment
- Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to interact in a professional manner with the highest levels of corporate/civic constituents
- Excellent computer skills including knowledge and experience of MS Office
- Must be able to lift 25lbs and stand on your feed for extended periods of time
- Travel when needed for events, including weekends
- Energetic/outgoing personality is a plus
- Technologically savvy or willing to learn
- Video editing knowledge is a plus
- Knowledge of IMIS or other CRM software a plus
