American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the largest national civil engineering association, seeks an organized administrative professional with excellent communications skills to provide administrative, logistical and communication support to our board operations, meetings, and legal department.
Responsibilities include:
Producing agendas, minutes and action summaries for the Board, Executive Committee, Past Presidents Council, and other committees, and communicating actions back to committees and staff
Assisting director with preparation for National election, including the collection of required materials by the deadline, submitting information to vendor for ballots, meeting with Publications regarding timeline for publication of ballots, proofing ballots, reviewing web page, managing Tellers Committee meeting, and distributing results
Working with President-elect and department director to maintain committee appointment spreadsheet, collect evaluations for consideration by President-elect, prepare appointment letters for distribution, and update the rosters in Personify database
Tracking resolutions submitted to the Board and ensure each resolution receives a response in a timely manner
Processing reimbursement requests for Board members and submitting to accounting for payment
Assisting with on-site management during Board Meetings, Convention, and OPAL gala
Travel throughout the U.S. on an as needed basis to assist with Board meetings, Annual Convention and/or other meetings
The ideal candidate will have:
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
5 years association experience (volunteer committee or board support preferred)
Proficiency with MS Teams & MS Office
Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills
A desire and willingness to travel
