NCRMA is seeking a Director of Events and Social Media and if you are a go-getter who demonstrates an excellent work ethic, exercises effective problem-solving skills, and pays close attention to detail to ensure that posts, correspondence, and event specifics are accurate, then we want you on our team. Our ideal candidate will have the ability to work well independently but will report directly to the Vice President of Communications.
What YOU will do at NCRMA
This is a unique position allowing you to work in a dynamic environment—coordinating multiple social media platforms and planning meetings of all sizes and types from large conventions and golf tournaments to small board meetings. Specific job functions, include but are not limited to:
EVENTS
Plan approximately 10-12 total events for several associations and their affiliated companies:
Work with the appropriate staff to develop meeting agendas including timelines, speakers, and educational opportunities
Serve as the main contact with hotels/venues including site visits, contract negotiation, banquet event orders
Coordinate and oversee all meeting logistics prior to and during event including supplies and materials development, meeting registration, etc.
Review meeting invoices for accuracy and ensure prompt payment post-event
Coordinate on-site responsibilities and conduct post-meeting debriefings
Conduct post-meeting survey with attendees
Maintain historical records of events, venues, etc.
SOCIAL MEDIA
Oversee Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn pages for multiple associations and their affiliated companies
Manage, develop, and oversee social media strategy
Curate, create and deploy content calendar and regular posting(daily/weekly)
Respond to inbound social media traffic
Find and engage new followers; grow social media following
Generate monthly statistical reports with social analytics and trends to track growth
Measure web traffic and monitor SEO
Report on online reviews and feedback
Identify and consider new social media trends and opportunities

QUALIFICATIONS to join NCRMA

Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Strong computer skills—MS Outlook, Excel and Word
Event planning with 3+ years’ experience preferred
Social media content development and management experience preferred
