We work with and on behalf of the entire food retail industry to advance a safer, healthier, and more efficient consumer food supply chain. The person in this role will manage FMI’s education programs to support assigned member companies and content areas.
What will you do in this role?
In this role, you’ll get the opportunity to develop, design and implement content for FMI conferences and events by determining educational needs through member survey results and planning committees. Collaborating with the marketing, finance, and logistics departments, you will facilitate key planning committee meetings, design marketing strategies and negotiate speaker contracts for events. This is truly a position with variety!
This role requires travel roughly three to six times per year.
Who will excel in this role?
You’ll be successful in this role if you are a critical thinker who can think ahead and juggle multiple priorities at one time, coupled with a minimum of three to five years of relevant experience working with education program design, development, and delivery. If you are a team player, who is flexible and patient, with strong project management skills, this may be the perfect role to advance your career. You should also have a strong knack for and experience with event-centric technologies. The ideal candidate has experience with the Cadmium suite of products and the ability manage multiple event platforms and systems with confidence. Knowledge of the food and/or retail industry and general business concepts is a plus.
