The Manager is responsible for providing the highest level of service to IFT members and customers. They are primarily responsible for executing the department’s commitment to develop geographical chapters and the organization’s recruitment and retention strategies with membership leading to increased member engagement and revenue growth.
In this capacity, the manager will serve as primary staff contact to advance IFT chapter development, engagement, and success. This individual works closely with the Director and Manager of Membership Experiences on the development and execution of chapter related activities for the organization, also serving as the primary contact for chapters.
In conjunction with Director, Membership Experiences, effectively partner with chapters to advance IFT strategic goals to drive membership engagement and effective volunteer leadership development
Build and maintain working relationships with chapter leaders such that trust exists, information is shared, and common goals are created and achieved
Identify, develop, and maintain tools and resources for successful chapter operations and provide best practices on engagement, chapter health, and compliance
Develop, organize, and facilitate chapter leadership development programming, including the annual Chapter Leadership Program. In addition, identify additional learning opportunities through IFT events, local chapter events, monthly communications, virtual training and more
Help facilitate opportunities to increase collaboration among chapters, divisions, resource groups, student chapters, and all component groups
Execute work designated to support chapter administration including leadership tracking, annual affiliate agreement compliance, and engagement reporting
Work with Manager, Membership Experiences to ensure chapters have active plans for membership recruitment and retention to support the goals of the organization
Support chapters by ensuring all web content and online community owner for all chapters sites are up-to-date and relevant

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Communications, or related area
Three years of related experience in a similar position, preferably in an Association environment
History of successful relationship building with various stakeholders including colleagues
Fluency in membership database systems
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Office Suite
Competency with social media tools
