Primary purpose: Manages the Congress faculty and abstract processes in close collaboration with SCCM members and staff.

Responsibilities:

I. Management of Congress faculty process

A. Works collaboratively with the education manager to input faculty for Congress sessions.
B. Replaces and updates faculty for sessions as necessary.
C. Maintains faculty database and communication with faculty, moderators, and chaperones.
D. Coordinates conflict-of-interest compliance with all faculty.
E. Assigns session moderators.
F. Manages on-site faculty ready room.
G. Follows up for reimbursement at conclusion of Congress.

II. Management of Congress abstract process and records

A. Manages the Congress abstract process, including refining submission tools, coordinating the review process, compiling scores for review by related committees, accepting abstracts, assigning moderators, awards, publication and on-site logistics.
B. Completes reports, maintains databases, and communicates with authors.
C. Manages the on-site facilitation of Research Snapshot Theaters, including staff, temporary help, and volunteers.

II. Performs other functions as required to carry out SCCM’s mission and goals.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
· Experience in a medical association setting desired
· Process-oriented approach and ability to troubleshoot difficult projects
· Excellent time management skills with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Experience in a technology-oriented, remote work environment
· Strong organization and critical thinking abilities

SCCM is currently working remotely due to an office remodel. We will reopen the building in the next few months, but staff may continue to work from home with occasional in-office meetings as required by a department manager or director.
