The American Accounting Association is seeking an exempt-full-time Digital Event Strategist/Meetings – IT Liaison to join our team at our Lakewood Ranch Office located in Sarasota County, Florida. This position requires 2 days per week in the office (Tuesday/Wednesday) with three days remote. The on-site requirement may increase during initial training or for certain projects.
The Digital Event Strategist/Meetings – IT Liaison is a new role at the American Accounting Association. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer and collaborating across all departments.
Proficient with Microsoft products: Office, Excel, Teams, OneDrive, PowerPoint
Proficient with Zoom
AMS, CMS and LMS familiarity are a plus – the AAA recently transitioned to Microsoft Dynamics 265 for our CRM and other AMS needs.
Adaptable and able to quickly learn new technologies as necessary
Position Minimum Requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with staff at all levels
Experience managing virtual events
Aptitude for independent troubleshooting and problem-solving
Strong project management and detailed planning skills; ability to adhere to multiple timelines simultaneously to deliver high quality deliverables in a timely manner
Ability to learn quickly and operate autonomously in an ever-changing technological environment
Education and Experience Requirements
BA/BS or equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience
3+ years of meeting planning with an emphasis on virtual events.

Must be within driving distance of the AAA Lakewood Ranch, FL office.
Must be able to travel (several trips per year).
DES Certification preferred
