We are actively recruiting for a Communications and Customer Service Coordinator to join the team. This role reports directly to the Senior Director of Operations and assumes responsibility for managing communications and marketing efforts and coordinating day-to-day frontline service. As a member of the NGMA team, you will play a key role in NGMA’s trainings/meetings. The main responsibilities include:
Developing and maintaining the NGMA communications calendar for email, print and social media;
Writing and implementing an association-wide marketing plan;
Writing and editing the NGMA Update e-newsletter;
Overseeing the regular maintenance and review of the NGMA website (www.ngma.org);
Managing the creation, editing and distribution of NGMA e-mail communications;
Working with outside vendors, partners, committees and other subject matter experts to develop content;
Writing scripts for staff and/or Board as needed;
Overseeing signage, scripts, presentations and other communications needs for NGMA’s Annual Grants Training and/or other in-person events;
Developing marketing strategy and collateral materials for NGMA;
Managing the NGMA Branding Guidelines.
Customer Support (40%):
Responds promptly to customer requests via phone and email, answering questions on NGMA programs and assisting them with payments, invoices, etc.;
Facilitates the processing of membership applications, renewal payments and invoices within the MemberClicks database;
Follows up monthly with unpaid invoices and credits;
Manage pre-registration and on-site registration for NGMA’s Annual Grants Training (AGT) and/or other in-person events;
Promotes and maintains the association’s job board:
Demonstrate ability to solve problems, to manage systems and data, and to suggest appropriate solutions.
Special projects as assigned by the Executive Director or Senior Director of Operations.
Attendance at NGMA meetings will be required.
This position is fully-remote (telecommuting) and requires candidates to have the capacity to fully work at home (space, Internet, etc.).

Your background should include:
Experience working within a non-profit association or nonprofit setting.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution.
Minimum of 2 years professional experience in customer service and communications/marketing/public relations.
Strong writing skills (AP Style required) and ability to communicate in an effective and professional manner.
Strong customer/member service orientation.
Data management experience.
Ability to collaborate effectively both internally across departments and externally to achieve organizational goals in a professional and timely manner.
Demonstrated ability to effectively organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks to ensure timely and accurate results.
Ability to travel out of state and overnight as needed (anticipated 1-2 times per year).
Have a team-player attitude and commitment.
Professionalism: Good judgment, ability to interact with all levels of staff, volunteers, and vendors, appropriate demeanor, confidence.
Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
