Meeting Management Services (MMS) is DC-based events consulting firm that provides convention and conference management services for national associations, non-profits associations and Fortune 500 corporations since 1996. We provide registration services, venue sourcing and contracting, and management of logistical, exhibitor, and housing needs for over 30 client events throughout the United States and (more recently) around the globe.

The Meeting Planner positionwill report to Director of Logistics and work out of the Washington D.C. office located on 1201 New Jersey Ave, NW. Applicants should have 4-6 years of planning experience. The position will be assigned to multiple accounts with travel across the US and Internationally. Planners/CMPs with third-party experience is a plus. Strong contracting skills are highly desirable.

Manage a corporate portfolio of quick-turn site selection and venue contract leads throughout the year for domestic and international meetings
Manage conference logistics, including but not limited to: Event specs, Room block management, speaker management, expo management, both in lead and back-up positions for key association clients
Develop and execute event strategy and objectives
Facilitate and drive meetings with client and internal team
Budget creation, management and reconciliation
Establish and maintain an event schedule/timeline
Manage internal team for event execution (Assistant Planner, Registration Manager, Exhibits Manager, Accounting Manager)
Event staff and volunteer team management
On-site execution including managing staff/team on-site
