Who we are: The North Carolina Technology Association (NC TECH) is the statewide industry group for the tech sector. All companies, organizations and institutions are eligible for membership, given that technology is integral to all enterprises. NC TECH was incorporated in 1993 and represents 600+ members that collectively employ over 200,000 North Carolinians.
About the position:
NC TECH is seeking a collaborative member of the team dedicated to helping drive the success of the association’s talent initiatives. This person will coordinate and support the overall planning, execution and implementation of NC TECH’s programs, products and partnerships related to talent. This person will also play a key role in generating revenue thru the sponsorship of talent offerings and by collaborating with the membership team to achieve retention and new revenue goals.
Manage the association’s talent offerings and workforce strategies to maximize revenue and provide value to members.
Contribute to overall member revenue goals by working with members and identifying prospective members that would value in leveraging talent related offerings.
Lead the strategy and execution of talent attraction resources including job fairs and association’s job board.
Manage the delivery of the association’s research reports and serve as staff expert for the State of the Tech Industry Report (annual), Tech Innovation Index (annual) and IT Job Trends (monthly).
Collaborate with events team on planning and execution of the Diversity + Inclusion in Tech Summit, the Summit for Women in Tech, Board-Ready Bootcamp, and talent related content part of general programming.
Coordinate new tools and partnerships with a focus on in diversity, equity, and inclusion in tech.
Develop and lead new talent strategies/partnerships to bring added revenue to the association and value to association members. (e.g., Internships and apprenticeships)
Relaunch Talent Network/Committee with regular communication and occasional meetings
Represent the association externally with members, partners and on committees related to talent.
Contribute to communications by providing content for newsletters and social media posts.
Participate in pre- and on-site staffing at NC TECH events and programs.
Provide excellent personalized customer service to NC TECH members and prospective members.
Serve as staff liaison to NC TECH Education activities including the management of the annual Betsy Justus Founders Scholarship and coordination of a handful of foundation fundraising activities (e.g., silent auction).

What you’ll need to Be Successful:
Bachelor’s degree with 3-5+ years of experience in workforce.
Familiarity working with associations, chambers, university organizations, etc.
Knowledge of and contacts within North Carolina business and tech community is a plus.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including the capability to work with executives and staff of all levels. Skilled at writing promotional materials, membership materials and newsletter content.
Ability to take initiative, manage multiple detail-oriented projects and prioritize assignments.
Good collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Competency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), use of the web, savvy with social media and an aptitude to quickly learn and comfortably use other various technology platforms including CRM systems and prospect databases.
Ability for limited travel as well as some morning/evening commitments.
