The primary objective of this position is to serve as the association’s chief advocate and spokesperson on matters of intellectual property and brand protection. The Director of Brand Protection will serve as staff liaison to AAFA’s Brand Protection Council (BPC) which focuses its efforts on the global war against counterfeit apparel, footwear, accessories, and other supplier products. Charged with helping to protect U.S. branded products against cheap imitations that are flooding the marketplace, the council is composed of legal, brand enforcement, and marketing representatives of AAFA member companies.
