Position Summary: Oversees the creation, delivery and strategic direction of the education pathways of WERC membership. Responsible for the development and delivery of innovative learning, and certifications. Works closely with the other leaders to continually expand the educational offerings and develop innovative programs including training, accreditation/certifications to serve the members and other stakeholders.
Essential Functions of the position include but are not limited to:
Identifies opportunities for new educational development and the resources
Manage all external and internal relationships related to the ownership of certification, events and online learning.
Guides development of high-quality, interactive online and in-person education programs and networking events as necessary to achieve strategic objectives
Promotes professional credentialing, ensuring credentials evolve with industry and retain their validity for the industry.
Directs development of educational programs designed for use by the accreditation and constituent organizations and other markets.
Collaborates cross-departmentally to develop and continuously improve and maintain the educational content serving WERC’s mission and strategies.
Models organization values of all in, communication and accountability.
Manages team members to achieve high levels of performance and engagement.
Contributes to decisions and visionary leadership for organization through team business planning.

The qualified candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the position either with or without reasonable accommodation.
Bachelor's degree; Master’s in related discipline preferred. Minimum of 15 years of executive level experience designing and promoting educational, research and/or communications efforts in an association setting. (Experience in working in an international association a plus). Ability to create budgets and manage programs within budgetary requirements. Strong knowledge of adult learning theory and educational curriculum development with the ability to research and apply state-of-the-art learning and delivery methods to the association’s educational programs. Knowledge of marketing and business development. Proficient with MS Office and with a strong understanding of database systems and internet technology. Familiarity with working with Articualte 360 and SCORM for online learning creation. Direct experience with the analysis, development, modification, and/or implementation of computer or internet based training or other technologically based course program authoring or educational software applications. Direct and indirect supervision of staff engaged in the operational activities of educational program development and research initiatives. Experience working with an ethnically, culturally and racially diverse work staff preferred; ability to work harmoniously with diverse groups of individuals required.
