MSA is looking to contract with a 20 Hours per week Membership, Events & General Office Coordinator to provide association customer service support.
Oversee & maintain Yourmembership CRM database.
Assist with member outreach, renewal campaigns, and chapter support.
Provide support for member queries through email and phone
Assist with member outreach and renewal campaigns.
Monitor and process dues renewals including mailing invoices.
Maintain Shoptalk listserv database. Assist listserv communities with questions, manage library documents, and maintain professional dialog.
Manage event registrations in Yourmembership or other event management platforms.
Assist Conference & Events Contractor & Executive Director where needed with event management.
Attends conferences and events as on-site support when needed (travel expenses paid for by MSA).
Provide administrative meeting support for committees.
Coordinate & maintain association activities and documents such as those related to annual elections, committee reports, board reports & manuals and other events/documents as requested. Maintain association records and documents, including standard operating procedures, committee rosters, and meeting minutes; ensure alignment with best practices
Work with the Marcom contractor to ensure that association & chapter news updates, webpages, and social media are kept up-to-date.
Work marketing and other committees to coordinate email requests with Marcom contractor.
Organize and provide support for webinars and meetings for division leadership
Provide support for main business phone line, providing customer service or routing calls as needed.
Assist with collating of mailings as needed.
Maintains and organizes files
Assists with future plans to consolidate information technology management platforms (Memebrship database, listserv, mailchip etc)
The 1099 independent contractor should possess the following:
Formal education or experience in information processing systems
Computer experience in MS Office (Windows, Word, Excel & PowerPoint.) with proficiency in Googledocs as well.
Positive people interaction skills
Able to communicate effectively and cooperatively with others
Highly organized contractor with ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
Able to execute contract with minimal supervision and training
Experience in customer or association database management (Preferred)
800-880 contract hours per year billed & paid monthly.
Travel and other related duties may occur on weekends.
Ability to be paid as 1099 contractor, scorp or LLC status preferred.
Contractor supplies own equipment and everyday office supplies will be the Contractor's responsibility.
The Contractor is an independent contractor and not an employee of MSA. As an independent contractor, Contractor is not entitled to employee benefits. Contractor is not entitled to workers' compensation or unemployment compensation benefits. Contractor shall be personally responsible to pay all required state and federal taxes, including self-employment tax, if applicable, on any payments made to Contractor pursuant to this Agreement. Contractor shall have no authority to enter into any agreements or contracts on behalf of MSA except with MSA’s written approval.
