The Women’s Council of REALTORS®, founded in 1938, is a network of successful REALTORS®, advancing women as business leaders in the industry and in the communities, we serve. Located on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile in the REALTOR® building, this national organization of 9,000 members and 250 networks is a proud affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS®.
The organization is currently seeking a Member Services Representative who will act as front-line contact at our national headquarters. This individual will provide excellent customer service to members and passionate chapter leaders from around the country. This visible position requires someone who is highly enthusiastic, adaptable, and resourceful and will be able to handle basic and complex troubleshooting. In addition to member services, this individual will administer various programs with our chapters around the country.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
General customer service:answer member questions and concerns immediately, and facilitating satisfactory resolutions and/or redirecting calls to the appropriate departments while providing outstanding customer service. Ensure quality control systems are adhered to in order to ensure that all interactions, issues, and inquiries are effectively handled to the member and leader’s satisfaction.
Maintain member database with accurate member information and run necessary reports as necessary.
Liaise with VP of Finance, Technology Manager, and Education Director in ensuring programs, policies and events are visible and understandable to both chapter leaders and members.
Assist in planning (and attending) three national flagship meetings per year.
Coordinate officer travel with Marketing Manager.
Assist EVP in calendar/meeting management, general communications, organizing conference calls and meetings, officer/member communications, update and maintenance of website information, governance, and other general organizational matters as it relates to the Women’s Council operation in general (varies, ongoing project coordination).
Education, Experience and Skills
A minimum of 2 years related experience, experience in a non-profit organization is highly desirable. Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and time management skills necessary
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail
Previous experience with AMS desirable, especially Fonteva or other Salesforce based systems.
Team player able to handle direction from multiple reporting lines in a small staff environment, yet ability to be a self-starter as well.
A member-centric relationship builder with adaptability to learn and grow in a collaborative team environment.
Ability to consistently manage multiple tasks, set priorities with attention to deadline and details
This position is 35 hours per week and includes all benefits that NAR offers
Office hours are 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; with limited hybrid remote options after fully onboarded and trained.
Travel to three national meetings per year (over weekends) is required
Women’s Council is a small staff environment and the candidate is expected to be adaptable to broad based functions not typically found in larger organizations
