Our team is looking for a Membership and Community Specialist, dedicated to delivering an exceptional experience to our members, customers and physician communities. As the primary point of contact, the Specialist will work directly with our physician members, ensuring they receive excellent service and an engaging experience. The ideal candidate will have experience with member or community support or delivery services, ideally within an association setting. In this role you will collaborate closely with leadership and our team’s on implementing programs, membership and community communications (emails, marketing campaigns, phone), and ensuring our members are well supported. Candidates will also need to be technology savvy, preferring those with experience in Salesforce, Hubspot, and/or CRM and platform systems.
Some of the responsibilities of this position include:
Serve as primary point of contact providing timely and high-quality service to members, potential members, and other customers via email, phone, community postings and service request/ticketing system(s).
Maintain a high level of knowledge of AAPL’s changing products and services, advocating program value and availability with members and customers.
Develops a deep understanding of member and customer processes, presenting opportunities to improve for efficiencies
Develops, gains approvals and implement a member engagement plan with a view to improving overall member engagement.
Propose and facilitate membership initiatives, campaigns, and activities with a focus on member retention.
Collaborate to create membership marketing campaigns through a variety of organic and paid acquisition channels such as content creation, pay per click campaigns, social media, lead generation, copywriting, and performance analysis
Manage implementation of membership retention strategies through appropriate channels
Manages and coordinates member engagement programs including but not limited to mentorship program, online communities, webinars, special interest groups, member newsletters, other member communications, and surveys.
Oversee automated membership billing data and processes.
Implement digital experience including onboarding, ongoing engagement and renewal.
Maintain accurate data in Salesforce, search and merge duplicate records, regular outreach to members to update contact info, process auto-reply emails and update in database.
Track and report on membership and engagement metrics monthly and as requested.
If you are outgoing and passionate about providing an extraordinary experience; and have the following qualifications:
Three (3) to Five (5) year experiences in membership, customer relationship or experience role
Experience building excellent customer, member and/or community relationships.
Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and web technology (Salesforce preferable)
Strong computer skills and technology savvy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong multi-tasking skills and attention to detail.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work independently in a rapidly growing and changing environment.
Ability to establish and maintain effective and constructive working relationships with others, both internal and external to the organization
Ability to work collaboratively with a fully remote team and with other employees to meet shared goals.
