This position is responsible for managing the development and execution of technical programs, projects, and activities of the association. This person interfaces with the technical leaders of association and industry, including the Standards Review Council, Exam Committee, Technical Representation Committee volunteers, Training Committee, and Board of Directors. This person will be responsible for the oversight and coordination of the internal member service functions relating to the technical programs, in collaboration with the Executive Director.
Work closely and provide oversight as appropriate to technical committee and working groups in the development of standards ensuring all relevant policies and procedures are followed.
Serve as the liaison and represent the association, its policies, and values to all stakeholders at committee, working group, and other relevant meetings.
Lead technical projects related to standards, training, and safety.
Develop new and existing technical relationships, assets, and resources.
Collaborate with internal staff to ensure the appropriate and timely coordination of the production, promotion, and marketing of technical assets.
Coordinate Technical Representation volunteers.
Manage ANSI standards maintenance and development:
Editing and publishing of the ANSI standards.
Coordination of the ANSI accreditation audit.
Coordination of the standards distribution with outside vendors.
Manage and respond to incoming technical inquiries and responses.
Development and oversight of the technical and exam development budget as requested.
Implement and maintain exam development processes in coordination with the exam development provider.
Manage the resource and scheduling requirements for exam development projects.
Manage the publishing of certification content through exam delivery vendors.
Recruit, manage, and maintain relationships with subject matter experts.
Support internal certification exam administration.
Manage the training development assets and serve as the liaison to the training committee.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred or 4 years of work experience in association program management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional project management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Experience managing volunteer committees within a membership organization highly desirable.
Strong self-starter and proven team player in high achievement-oriented environment.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
Some travel required.
Office environment, working remotely due to COVID-19, however will require time in the office eventually.
