Advanced Energy Economy (AEE) is seeking a Member Support and Sales Associate to join our membership/software sales and fundraising team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a combined skill set that includes customer engagement and support and call and email lead generation in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. The candidate must be a self-starter who knows how to identify and qualify potential leads, is able to collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team and can build effective long-term customer relationships. This position will be 50% lead generation, 40% customer support, and 10% philanthropic support.
Become an expert in the value, benefits, and features of PowerSuite (AEE’s internally developed SaaS tool), AEE membership, and AEE’s related entities
Facilitate the transition between sales and customer success during new customer onboarding
Support the last phase of the sales cycle which includes management of commitments and agreements.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of PowerSuite resources and tools to ensure the highest quality of services to user.
Develop strategies that grow and mobilize PowerSuite user engagement and outreach.
Research and source leads for outbound campaigns and support the ongoing development of a strong opportunity pipeline to consistently meet or exceed quota
Work with AEE’s broader sales and support team to improve outbound lead qualification, post-sale on boarding support, and relationship management
Leverage AEE’s broader team of policy staff as subject matter experts for conveying our organization’s value proposition to prospects and funders
Support a data driven approach to identify inefficiencies and continuously improve our sales process to increase conversion rates, increase the volume of leads, and increase product demo and membership sales appointments
Support the fundraising team with research on current and prospective donors

2+ years sales development experience or member support experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience or training in a relevant field
Inherently organized with a keen attention to detail, self-motivated and able to seek out leads on a daily basis that fit our customer profile
Willingness to quickly learn AEE’s value and business model. Then, identify companies/individuals that would benefit from our services and to be able to articulate those points through email and/or phone calls
Consistent communication and coordination with sales and fundraising team via AMS, project management tracking tools and virtual meetings/communication platforms.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Have a good understanding of trade associations and be able to effectively and succinctly communicate this to both inexperienced and experienced audiences
Strong focus on your goals and a belief that your daily, weekly, and monthly activities will help you achieve them
Positive attitude and desire to learn
Proficiency in Microsoft Office product
Basic knowledge of the energy and/or government affairs industry a plus
Telecommuting is allowed.
Additional Salary Information: This position offers a base compensation with the opportunity for incentive compensation based on achieving sales and retention targets.
