The National Propane Gas Association is looking for a Manager of Communications to join their team in Washington, DC. This person will ensure effective communication efforts with both external policy makers and internal industry stakeholders. This position also supports the Vice President of Communications and staff while serving as a project manager and strategist. This position will report to the VP, Communications. Full-time position with benefits.

What You Will Do

External Communications:

• Work with NPGA team to develop and deploy op-eds and other materials to promote the benefits of propane to media, legislators, policy makers, and other influential audiences.
• Work with federal legislative and regulatory team to provide assistance with Propane Days, and developing media toolkits on major issues in support.
• Work with state affairs team to provide crisis communications support to state/regional associations.

Industry Communications:

• Solicit content and oversee design for association’s publications, including weekly e-newsletter, quarterly 90 Day Critical postcards, Impact postcards, NPGA Director’s Reports, NPGA’s annual report, and other industry communications.
• Work with staff to generate key content and strategy for association’s website.
• Serve as lead on all social media generation.
• Work with the Meetings Department to assist with designing, editing, and dissemination of promotional and educational materials for the NPGA Expo and other meetings.
• Staff NPGA booth at occasional trade association conventions for related industries.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
