The International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) is the world’s largest and most influential professional association for police leaders. With more than 31,000 members in over 165 countries, the IACP is a recognized global leader in policing.
We seek to hire an Account Manager who will provide account management to IACPnet customers and prospects. The position provides innovative/creative solutions to problems, participates in decision making activities, interfaces with IACP leadership and external partners as well as IACP membership and the policing profession generally.
Working with IACP staff and stakeholders, the Account Manager(s) will:
Develop leads, prospect new agencies and individuals, conduct site demonstrations, and work to close sales
Act as the point of contact for a specific territory of existing IACPnet customers, staying aware of trending topics and information needs of police professionals
Track multiple projects and provide status update reports as needed
Develop and implement creative and effective business practices
Perform user trainings and continue education for subscribers of the IACPnet site
Communicate with IACPnet users and prospects through phone, email, and in person; build and manage these partnerships
Manage, lead, and grow staff members
Build and sustain relationships with police leaders to enhance project work and understanding of the profession whom we serve
Utilize the association management system to track details and engagement activity for IACPnet customers and prospects
Organize and track details of project-related meetings and events including expenditures, logistics, and programmatic information
Maintain ongoing and effective communication with project team, staff members, partners, and funding agencies
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Minimum of three years of job-related experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and other relevant business software
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered

Analytical skills to include ability to troubleshoot problems from multiple perspectives
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
Strong penchant for collaboration and teamwork
Critical thinking and decision-making skills
Solid task prioritization, organization, and time management skills, and attention to detail
Demonstrated skills in sales and customer service
Familiarity with and understanding of policing
Some travel may be required based on position responsibilities
Work takes place primarily in an office environment
Light lifting, bending, and reaching may be required
