Position Summary: The Manager of e-Learning and Professional Resources, reporting to the Director of Professional Development and Resources, is responsible for managing aspects of program support for the Council for Exceptional Children’s (CEC) online professional development and professional resources.

As part of the Professional Development team, liaises with various advisory committees and workgroups to develop, plan and execute CEC’s online educational programs strategy.
Provides Instructional Design direction and designs, develops, implements and evaluates CEC’s synchronous and asynchronous online professional development programs and resources, including webinars, e-learning courses, workshops and contract trainings.
Manages CEC’s Learning Management System (LMS), including developing and maintaining courses, workshop, webinars, and programs. Provides technical and customer support for LMS users.
Supports the PD department with coordination and execution of other learning events and contract training programs.
Supports the speaker selection and manages presenters for CEC’s online learning offerings.
Liaises with vendors, partners, and presenters, to develop online programs, monitor registrations, coordinate communications, participant evaluations, CEU/PDH verification and track registration and revenue history.
Manages the Online Teacher Repository (new in 2021), including marketing submissions, coordinating reviews, and promoting new selections.
Provides Director of Professional Development and Resources (and other CEC staff) with scheduled reports on program registration, revenue/budget goals, LMS usage, evaluation feedback, etc.
Solicits, drafts, edits, and manages professional resource content.
Assists in the development and execution of marketing plans related to CEC’s educational offerings and professional resources.
Creates and delivers presentations related to CEC’s professional development and resource work as necessary.

Education/Experience: BA/BS degree and three or more years of progressive experience in contributing to the design and development of online professional development programs and e-learning programs; CMS, professional development and/or program management experience a plus; background with various course authoring software, Learning Management Systems (LMS) management and/or instructional design strongly preferred.
Language Ability: Strong written and oral communication skills and proofreading and editing skills; excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of individuals and groups.
Computer Skills: Competence in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Association Management, Learning Management and/or Content Management Systems.
