The Council for Interior Design Qualification, Inc. is seeking a Data and Program Associate position to directly oversee administrative workflow and various aspects of day to day operations within the headquarters office. This position will report directly to the CEO.
The Associate’s initial responsibilities will include:
Manage CIDQ’s candidate database system and vendor relationship becoming a power user and staff authority on report generation, data analysis, and quality assurance.
Manage CIDQ’s automated payment processing system including adding/entering vendors, coding invoices and credit card bills, reviewing recurring bills, and providing reconciled financial data from CIDQ’s candidate database system to its outsourced accountant.
Serve as the lead for student and educator outreach and CIDQ’s Ambassador program providing information, resources, and training, through an online community, webinars and in-person presentations.
Function as the primary point person for all meeting (in person and virtual) planning logistics and preparations to include CIDQ’s Annual Conference, committees and task forces, and CIDQ’s Board of Directors. This includes securing hotel meeting space and accommodations, distributing travel memos to attendees, building the agenda book and taking minutes of Board meetings.
Serve as the staff liaison to several committees and task forces including Nominating, Awards, and occasional task forces as identified. Lead Outreach efforts to Member Board Executives, maintain rosters, generate annual dues invoices and monitor payments.
Provide back-up coverage for customer service inquiries received via phone calls and email.
Manage Online Community (Higher Logic) access and online office calendar.
Ensure compliance with and maintenance of the governance documents of the organization.
Assist CEO and Senior Director of Marketing and Operations with Special Projects as requested.

The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree. He or she will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a nonprofit organization or business setting where he or she was involved in diverse administrative functions. Prior knowledge, experience, and contacts within the built environment (interior design, architecture, and construction) and understanding of the related regulatory structure are highly valued. As a small office (5-7 staff) within an organization that has experienced significant growth, employees wear many “hats”. This is a generalist position and the role and responsibilities of the position will evolve in alignment with the candidate’s skill set and organizational need. Some weekend work and periodic, post-COVID, travel required.

The Council for Interior Design Qualification (CIDQ) is the premiere certifying organization for interior design professionals. CIDQ develops and administers the three-part NCIDQ Examination, which tests interior designers’ knowledge of core competencies required for professional practice in the industry. The exam is based on CIDQ’s independent, comprehensive analysis of the profession and the daily practice of interior design in a range of settings. CIDQ continually updates the exam’s contents to ensure they reflect the most current skills required to design secure, functional and innovative interior spaces.
