Program Manager - Health IT Partnerships As the Program Manager - Health IT Partnerships, you will work to accelerate the American Society of Addiction Medicine’s (ASAM) efforts to transform America's addiction treatment infrastructure, expanding access to research-validated, results-based care. Effective treatments for addiction exist but they are highly underutilized and often implemented in non-evidence-based ways. Training, education, and standards are the key to success and ASAM is at the forefront of that work. In this role, you will work collaboratively with ASAM’s leadership, board, and committees, as well as with national stakeholders, healthcare organizations, and state health officials who are working to reform the addiction treatment system. In this role, you will work to identify and develop partnerships to expand the effective adoption of The ASAM Criteria®, the most widely used set of guidelines for treating patients with addiction. This may include partnerships with technology vendors, nonprofit associations, states, healthcare provider organizations, payers, and managed care organizations, among others, to foster innovative solutions for expanding implementation of and improving fidelity to The ASAM Criteria standards. Potential areas for innovative partnerships include the ASAM CONTINUUM® and Co-Triage® software products, ASAM Criteria-related training and consulting services, and the ASAM Level of Care Certification. ASAM is a fast-growing professional medical society representing over 6,300 physicians, clinicians, and associated professionals who are leading the movement to transform America's addiction treatment infrastructure and expand access to research-validated, results-based care in the field of addiction medicine. This is an important time to be joining ASAM. Landmark legislation, H. R. 6, the SUPPORT for Patients and Communities Act, now provides significant resources in support of opioid use disorder prevention, recovery, and treatment. This funding allows communities to dramatically expand patient access to high quality, evidence-based, comprehensive care.
